Chelsea striker Mateja Kezman has turned down a move to Benfica.

Kezman is expected to leave Stamford Bridge this summer after struggling to make an impact since his £5 million move from PSV Eindhoven.

Several clubs have expressed an interest in signing Kezman, and Benfica have made a tentative approach. However, Kezman has turned down their overtures.

“I have a great respect for (Benfica manager) Ronald Koeman and Benfica, but the Portuguese league and Benfica are not, at this moment, options for me,” he told A Bola.

“I am not interested, at least for the time being.

“Who knows one day, in the future, but not now.”
