Patrick Kluivert has dismissed reports linking him with a move to Manchester United, claiming he he is happy at Barcelona.

Fellow Dutch striker Ruud van Nistelrooy alleged that his compatriot would leave the Nou Camp for Old Trafford in the summer. However, Kluivert, who has been frequently boooed by home supporters this season, claims he wants to stay at Barcelona.

‘There is nothing certain in those rumours (on a switch to Manchester United). I have always said that I want to stay here,’ said Kluivert.

Kluivert, 26, has a contract until 2005, by the club have an option to reduce his salary on May 15 this year in return for a reduction in the player’s buy-out clause.

‘The 15th of May is the date and we will see what happens before then,’ he said.

‘If I need to speak with the directors I will do it.’
