Lecce confirm Chelsea bid for Bojinov

Lecce have confirmed that they have received an offer from Chelsea for young striker Valeri Bojinov.

CSKA Moscow were rumoured to have made a €12 million bid for the striker, but Lecce claim that the only offer they have received is from Premiership leaders Chelsea.

“The only real offer we have had is from Chelsea,” said Lecce’s director of sport Pantaleo Corvino.

“They would be open to leaving the player with us until the end of the season.

“We have no intention of selling him outright now – because we need him in our battle to stay up.”
