Trading in the shares of Leeds United have suspended pending a statement on the club’s financial position.

The move comes a day after one of two groups interetsed in taking over the club, pulled out of negotiations. It also comes hours before the deadline for the resolution of a new standstill agreement with the club’s creditors.

Leeds have debts in excess of £100m and owe their principal creditors £82m.
