Liverpool haven’t lost in their last 6 games against Leeds though their last meeting was in 2004 – can the hosts pull off a Carling Cup upset? Simon Hopper gives you his tip and all the best prices.

Former Germany goalkeeper Jens Lehmann has been dropped by Stuttgart for at least one game after visiting the Munich Oktoberfest beer festival without permission.

Lehmann will miss Wednesday’s German Cup second round match against fourth-division VfB Luebeck.

“On Thursday, (director of sport) Horst Heldt and I will speak to Jens about this affair. After that, we will see what happens next,” coach MarkusBabbel said on the club’s website (www.vfb.de).

Lehmann said it had been a charity visit. “The visit to the festival was part of a charity event which was planned a long time ago,” he said. “In any case, it was not agreed with the club.

“Naturally, I accept measures taken by the sporting management.”
