Juventus coach Marcello Lippi has agreed a two-year deal with the Italian champions, the Serie A club confirmed.

Lippi’s current deal with the club expires in June and Juventus confirmed that Lippi’s new contract covers the next two seasons, with an option for a third year.

The c oach is in his second spell with the club side having left in 1999 to take over at Inter. He led the club to their 26th Italian championship last season, adding to his tally of three ‘scudetto’ titles and the 1996 Champions League accrued his first spell at the club.

Juventus lead Serie A by five points from Inter with just seven games of the current seaon remaining.
