Marcello Lippi believes any of the four English clubs remaining in the Champions League can win the trophy, but Italy’s World Cup-winning coach has tipped Arsenal to take the crown.
The Gunners are one of four Premier League teams in today’s Champions League quarter-final draw.
Lippi told the Daily Express: “Liverpool, Manchester United, Chelsea and Arsenal are all very strong teams but at the moment it is probably Arsenal who are the ones playing the best football in Europe.
“They manoeuvre the ball very well, it’s very fast and very technical.
“United play great football and Sir Alex Ferguson is the type of manager able to renew his team.
“Every four to five years he brings his side back to an excellent level of top-class football.
“Any of these four English teams could potentially win the Champions League but at the moment the way Arsenal play is the one I like best.”
