Livorno have sacked coach Daniele Arrigoni after a poor run which has seen them win just one game in their last 16 Serie A matches.

Sunday’s 4-0 defeat to Udinese was the last straw for a side that has slumped to 16th place in the table.

Livorno’s players had helped Arrigoni keep his job earlier in the year having convinced president Aldo Spinelli not to sack the manager.

However the Spinelli has decided to fire Arrigoni’ in a bid to halt the club’s alarming slump.

The club have not yet announced a successor, although Gaetano Salvemini has been touted as a possible candidate.
