Barcelona have revelaed that they have received an offer from an unnamed English club for Argentinian striker Maxi Lopez.

Lopez, who has been unable to disloged Sanmuel Eto’o and Ronaldinho in the Barca starting eleven, has endured a frustrating season on the sidelines.

Although Eto’o will be away for up to a month representing Cameroon at the African Nations Cup, the chances of Lopez gaining playing time, remain remote.

“We have received offers from Spain and Europe – including one English club – but nothing is decided,” claimed sporting director Txiki Beguiristain.

Although Barca would not confirm the identity of the English bidder, both Fulham and West Ham have expressed an interest in signing Lopez.

Barca are expected to make a decision on the future of Lopez within the next secven days.
