Inter midfielder Patrick Vieira is a target for Ligue 1 outfits Lyon and Paris Saint-Germain, with both clubs both keen to lure the World Cup winner back to France.

Rumours of a move for the 32-year-old, who turns 33 on June 23, have been circulating in France for sometime, but Vieira reveled last Tuesday that he had not received any contact from PSG. However, L’Equipe reports that Sebastien Bazin, the club’s president, has formally declared his interest in the player.

Lyon have moved to quickly follow suit, with Bernard Lacombe, an advisor to president Jean-Michel Aulas, conceding that the former Arsenal man would be a player that les Gones would be interested in signing.

“He is a great player,” Lacombe told OLTV. “The only concern may come from his injuries, which have marred his last two or three seasons. But if he wants to play at the 2010 World Cup, why not?”
