Mallorca and Recreativo de Huelva reached the Kings Cup final after both secured draws in their respective semi-final second-leg matches.

Mallorca drew 1-1 against holders Deportivo La Coruna to go through 4-3 on aggregate, while Recreativo reached their first final with a 2-2 draw against Osasuna to win 4-2 on aggregate.

Mallorca fell behind to Fran’s 21st-minute goal, but equalised through Ariel Ibagaza seven minutes from time.

Recreativo’s progress looked in doubt when the fell behind to goals from John Aloisi and Mohammed El Yaagoubi, but completed a 4-2 aggregate triumph thanks to an immediate riposte after the interval.

Francisco Munoz Xisco pulled a goal back on 47 minutes, then set up Ignacio Benitez for the equaliser three minutes later.

Though Mallorca have reached the final twice before, neither club has won a domestic trophy
