Manchester City have signed Javier Garrido from Real Sociedad for £1.5m and Vedran Corluka from Dinamo Zagreb for an undisclosed fee.
Garrido has signed a four-year deal while Croatia defender Corlukaagreed a five-year deal.
Left-back Garrido made his debut for Sociedad during the 2004/2005 season, making 86 appearances in total.
Corluka has won nine caps and can play at right-back or in central defence.
New Sociedad boss Chris Coleman admitted that he did not want Garrido to leave but would not stand in his way.
“He is a good player, but Manchester City has an interest in him and it is the decision of the player to go to England,” he said last week.
“I have explained to him that I do not want to sell him, but the financial situation is what it is.
“We do not want to lose him but it is his decision. Both clubs have an understanding over money.
“In the end the deal for Garrido, whatever the price, will help us in other areas and we have to be clever.”
