West Ham’s Italian striker Paolo Di Canio has again been linked with a move to Manchester United.

Ferguson confrmed yesterday that a new striker was a priority for the club when the transfer window reopens. His interest in Di Canio is well documented and the Italian almost joined United 12 months ago, only foor West Ham to pull the plug on the deal.

Di Canio’s contract with the Hammers expires at the end of this season and he has initimated that he may quit the club unless he receives an improved offer.
