Inter coach Roberto Mancini is looking forward to next weekend’s top-of-the-table clash with Serie A leaders Juventus after watching his side moved up to second with a 1-0 win over previously unbeaten Fiorentina.

“We will have a good chance against Juventus, as always,” Mancini told La Gazzetta dello Sport on Monday.

“We will go to Turin to win. There is no doubt it will be a fantastic match.”

Inter have beaten Juventus on their last three visits to the Stadio delle Alpi, and after two seasons trailing Juventus and neighbours Milan, they finally look capable of launching a serious bid to win their first Serie A title since 1989.

Mancini has beenn particularly impressed by the form of Luis Figo since his arrival from Real Madrid in the summer.

“He did some amazing things this evening, and he will be even more useful to the team when he hits his best form,” said Mancini.

“The team played really well. My only regret is that we didn’t convert more of our chances into goals.

“It would be nice just to have that cushion so we live a little more calmly.”
