Notts County have parted company with their manager Ian McParland after some poor recent results, so will Sven take over? See the early ‘next manager’ betting here.

Carlos Marchena suffered a hamstring injury during Spain’s win against Armenia last weekend, and the Valencia centre-back faces “three or four weeks” on the sidelines.

“Yesterday he had an ultrasound and then an MRI scan today, which confirmed a small tear in the muscle,” Dr. Jordi Candel told the club’s official website.

“As a result, his recovery time will be three or four weeks. He will have treatment with gradually increasing workloads and, little by little, he can be reincorporated into the group.”

Candel also spoke of David Villa’s recovery from injury, which he believes is progressing well.

“He will work harder today and for the rest of the week. The symptoms are better, but it would be a mistake to train at 100 per cent.

“We will be positive about his recovery. Our aim is that he recovers completely and we will not take risks.”
