Jack Kachkar has agreed a deal to buy Marseille, a spokesman for the Canadian businessman has confirmed.
Robert Louis-Dreyfus bought the former European champions for just one franc 10 years ago, but the club haas been the subject of takeover talk for a number of months.
Kachkar has offered €115million (£78million) to take over the Ligue 1 club and delivered financial guarantees to Louis-Dreyfus.
“Mr Jack Kachkar has signed with Mr Robert Louis-Dreyfus an agreement for the sale of Olympique Marseille,” Kackhar’s spokesman said in a statement.
“The transfer of the shares will become effective in the next few weeks.”
