Barcelona’s Lionel Messi has pledged to stay at Camp Nou after attracting interest from Internazionale.
Internazionale president Massimo Moratti is known to be a big admirer of Messi and has admitted he would like to bring the striker to Italy.
Messi admits he is flattered by Inter’s interest, but he says he expects to stay at Barcelona for the foreseeable future.
“I have Barcelona in my heart and I expect to stay here for a long time,” Messi told the Argentine press.
“That is my decision for the moment.
“I am very thankful to the people of Inter because they have been interested in me and I am very thankful to the president Massimo Moratti for the very nice words that he said about me.
“I am very proud that such an important person said very nice things about me.”
