Egyptian club Zamalek have confirmed the signing of a one year loan agreement bringing striker Mido back to his home club from Middlesbrough.

“The deal was done after extensive efforts by club president Mamdouh Abbas, who succeeded in completing it for Zamalek for four million (Egyptian) pounds,” club spokesman Sabri Saraj said in a statement.

The deal includes a provision for the Cairo club to permanently sign the 26-year-old striker at the end of the season for £1million, the statement added.

Mido has played for clubs in Belgium, Spain, France, Italy, Holland.
