Milan want to sign Antonio Cassano on a six-month loan deal, according to reports in the Italian press.
The Serie A side are said to want to secure a loan for the Real Madrid striker until June with a view to a permanent move in the summer.
Cassano’s future at the Bernabeu is uncertain with reports suggesting the 24-year-old is keen to leave in the January transfer window.
Milan remain hopeful a deal can be struck, but have dismissed the suggestion that of Brazilian midfielder Kaka could move in the opposite direction.
Meanwhile, Milan are also tracking 17-year-old Brazilian forward Alexandre Pato and 21-year-old Argentinian defender Leandro Grimi – the latter seen as cover for Brazilian wing-back Serginho.
