Internazionale coach Jose Mourinho has warned his team must improve if they want to keep their place at the top of the Serie A table.

Julio Cruz’s goal in stoppage time handed Inter a 1-0 victory over Udinese on Sunday.

The result saw the defending champions return to the top of the standings after rivals Milan were held to a 1-1 draw at Lecce, but Mourinho admits he does not want to have to rly on late goals.

”I am not satisfied with my team’s play in attack,” said Mourinho.

”In the last minute you can win or lose a game and in our last three encounters, we have won twice and drawn once. But it could be that in the future it will be our rivals who score in the last minute.”

Despite his concerns, Mourinho remains impressed by the determination shown by his players of late.

”At this time my team are showing character and even when facing adversity, we don’t give up,” he said.

”The fact is that against a good side like Udinese we won, we were pragmatic and we claimed three points. We are first in the standings in both Serie A and in our Champions League Group B.”
