Jose Mourinho has confirmed that he is trying to finalise a deal for Sevilla’s Daniel Alves.
The Brazilian is keen to join Chelsea, but as yet the two clubs have not agreed terms.
Reports over the past 24 hours claimed that a deal had been agreed, but according to Mourinho, the two clubs have yet to agree a fee.
“We are trying to buy him but the situation is not done at this moment,” said Mourinho.
“We will see what happens.”
Sources in Spain have now suggested that Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich is refusing to meet Sevilla’s asking price of €32million – instead offering €25million.
