Play-off winners Burnley are the clear favourites to make a quick return to The Championship as bookmakers make them BP 1-2 to be relegated next term.

Inter manager Jose Mourinho has extended his contract at the Giuseppe Meazza until June 2012.

The former Chelsea boss, who took over last summer and won the Serie A title in his first season, had been linked with a possible move to Real Madrid.

The club have now confirmed that the Portuguese coach has agreed to stay for another three years.

A statement on Inter’s official website read: “In response to the wish of the coach to continue the project started together a year ago, a wish welcomed with pleasure by the club as a sign of attachment and winning spirit, FC Internazionale announces the extension of Jose Mourinho’s contract until 30th June 2012.”
