Ramon Moya has been succeeded Juande Ramos as the new coach of Espanyol.

Moya, who was in control of Espanyol’s B side, took temporary charge of the side at weekend and led the Catalan club to their first victory of the season, a 2-0 win over Recreativo Huelva.

Ramos was sacked post on Sunday after a poor start to the season saw Espanyol lying bottom of the league table

‘I hope Moya is with us for a long time,’ stated club president Daniel Sanchez Llibre on the club’s website.
