Arsenal midfielder Samir Nasri will be out of action for a month after undergoing knee surgery.
The France international picked up the injury in Arsenal’s opening game of the Premier League season against Liverpool. Arsenal have confirmed that Nasri requires surgery and that the midfielder will now miss around four weeks of the season.
“Arsenal midfielder Samir Nasri will today [Wednesday] undergo minor surgery on his knee following a meniscal injury sustained during the match against Liverpool on Sunday,” read a club statement. “Nasri, who has been in impressive form, will be out of action for a month.”
Arsenal have also seen Denilson and Alex Song suffer injury problems in the early part of the season although Johan Djourou has shrugged off a hamstring problem and is expected to play at the weekend.
