New Ireland coach Brian Kerr has left out Manchester United captain Roy Keane from his first squad.

Kerr, who was appointed Mick McCarthy’s successor on Monday, has named a 26-man squad for the friendly against Scotland on February 12. But, tthere as no place for Keane who has not represented his country since walking out on Ireland prior to the World Cup finals.
