Newcastle midfielder Charles N’Zogbia has asked Lyon to make a bid for him.

The 22-year-old was booed when making a substitute appearance in Saturday’s 2-2 draw with West Ham after he revealed he was keen to leave St James’ Park.

Newcastle boss Joe Kinnear has insisted that the Frenchman is not for sale and is adamant he will not be leaving in January.

However, the left-sided player has issued a ‘come and get me’ plea to Lyon.

“I am tuned in to it all but, having heard several rumours, I would like to receive something concrete,” he told Aujourd’hui Sport.

“It is up to them to approach Newcastle and me. I am waiting for them. Lyon, make a move!

“Ligue 1 for me is an unknown. Therefore, in some respects, it is attractive.”

N’Zogbia, who is contracted to Newcastle until 2012, admits he does not believe Kinnear is bluffing when he says he will not accept any bids.

“The club want to sell some players, so why not me?” he added. “We will see if I get the green light.

“We have tried to get information to find out my price but Newcastle have said nothing.”
