Greek champions Olympiakos have sacked their coach Srecko Katanec.
The club appointed the former Slovenia coach in November last year, in place of ending Yiannis Kollias’s who had been acting as caretaker coach at the club.
‘The reasons which led to this decision are related to the bad climate which has been created at the club,’ Olympiakos said in an announcement posted on their website.
The club announced that Oleg Protasoff will take over from Katanec.
Olympiakos lie second in the Greek first division two points behind rivals Panathinaikos.
