Palermo President Maurizio Zamparini has stated that coach Francesco Guidolin will not be in charge next season.

Speaking after Palermo’s defeat to Milan’s second string side in the Coppa Italia, Zamparini said he was growing frustrated at some of the coach’s selections this season.

“At the end of the season I’m sending him home,” fumed Zamparini.

“We are just not in sync at all and he is not the coach to lead this club into the future.”

“How can you field five midfielders plus a full-back disguised as a winger? It’s just crazy and I cannot stand it anymore.

“All we had to do was play the line-up we had in the final ten minutes, but instead we were playing for the draw. In June I’ll be making big changes.”
