Parma have their backing to under-fire coach Silvio Baldini.

Baldini’s position has come under threat following a poor run of results which has seen the Serie A team without a win this season.

The weekend defeat to Brescia increased speculation about Baldini’s position, but Parma director Luca Baraldi has given the beleaguered coach a vote of confiddence.

“We have full faith in Baldini and there are no motives for a change,” said Baraldi.

“The League table is certainly not pretty for us but we are not worried. We have a project in place which will continue as planned.”

Baraldi also dismissed rumours claiming that Parma’s star striker Alberto Gilardino could be sold when the transfer window reopens.

“We are not interested in the transfer market,” added Baraldi.

“Will Alberto Gilardino be sold? He is a Parma player and will remain as one.”
