Parma are waiting for Manchester United to return from their pre-season tour of Asia to discuss the possibility of signing Giuseppe Rossi.

The Serie A outfit are keen to sign Rossi, who spent the second half of last season on loan at the club.

United are prepared to let Rossi leave and a number of clubs are understood to have shown an interest.

“The situation is stopped at the moment,” Parma president Tommaso Ghirardi told E’TV.

“On Sunday we met Rossi’s agents, but Manchester United are engaged in a Korean tour and until their return, it won’t be known what will happen.

“Should will be able to bring him back we will be happy, otherwise we will wish him a lot of luck.”
