Robert Pires has confirmed that Turkish side Galatasaray have offered him a three-year deal and with Arsenal only offering him a one-year extension, the French international admits he has not ruled out the possibility of quitting Highbury.

”I have received a proposition from the Turkish president,” admitted Pires.

”It is very interesting and I am going to study it.

”He is offering me a contract for three years and I am not closing the door to anyone.

”I have until August 31 to reflect and I am taking the proposition very seriously.

”People have been speaking in my place – and that does annoy me.

”I’ve had a meeting with the Arsenal directors and Arsene Wenger and, as it stands, our next rendezvous is in January.”
