Milan midfielder Andrea Pirlo has dismissed the possibility of a move to Real Madrid or Chelsea and said he wants to finish his career at the San Siro.

The Italy international was close to following former manager Carlo Ancelotti to Stamford Bridge last summer, but opted to stay at Milan.

He told Sky Italia: “Real Madrid and Chelsea are strong temptations, but now they are in the past.

“At Chelsea I would have gone to try a new experience. Milan was a difficult experience (last season) and maybe the time was right to go with a coach who I knew.

“I am 30 years old and I hope to end my career here. Milan is a family where you feel good and you win, you can’t get better.”
