According to a report in O Jogo newspaper, Spaniard Victor Fernandez has been named as coach of Porto, replacing Luigi Del Neri, whose contract was terminated at the weekend.

Fernandez, 43, had previously coached Celta Vigo and Real Zaragoza.

He replaces Del Neri who was sacked on Saturday, just 2 months after being appointed to succeed Jose Mourinho.

Porto confirmed on Saturday that the club and Del Neri had agreed to terminate the Italian’s contract “for personal reasons”.
