We could still be in for an all-English final as Fulham and Liverpool are into the semi-finals – Outright betting here.

Cesare Prandelli has played down speculation that he will succeed Marcello Lippi as coach of the Italian national team.

Lippi has yet to confirm whether he will continue in his role, and many have tipped Fiorentina boss Prandelli to take replace him should he decide to return to club management.

“The national team, stop – let’s talk about Fiorentina,” he said.

“I have heard about a meeting on May 17th about the national team, but I think about something else that day – my son’s wedding!.

“Of course, the prospect of coaching the national team would be an honour for any coach.

“But to speak of this at this time is useless.

“I will certainly remain here at Fiorentina next season.”

Prandelli is currently the longest serving coach in Serie A, having joined the Florence outfit in 2005.
