Paris Saint-Germain chairman Francis Graille claims he has turned down an approach from Manchester United for Brazilian striker Ronaldinho.

United have been linked with Ronaldinho for many months, but Graille refused to meet officials from Old Trafford to discuss a deal.

‘I turned down a meeting with Manchester United officials two weeks ago,’ Graille said.

‘I am in frequent touch with Ronaldinho’s agent and brother Roberto Assis and we will not make any further statement until the end of the month. There’s nothing new.’

But despite Graille’s initial rejection, talks are expected to get underway at some point over the summer, especially since the club have once again failed to qualify for the Champions League.
