Paris Saint-Germain moved to second place in the French table following a 3-0 victory over Marseille.

Two first-half goals by Brazilian World Cup star Ronaldinho and a late effort by Martin Cardetti took PSG into second place behind Auxerre, who won 1-0 over Rennes to replace Nice in top spot.

Nice dropped to third after a goalless draw at home to Lens.

Police used water cannons and fired tear gas to contain rioting fans ahead of the PSG-Marseille game at Parc des Princes.
