New Tottenham manager Juande Ramos is preparing to raid his old club Sevilla as he looks to begin his rebuilding plans at White Hart Lane.
Ramos stepped down as Sevilla coach on Friday and was named as Martin Jol’s successor at Tottenham the followng day.
He is expected to be given a transfer kitty for the January transfer window, and Ramos is eyeing moves for Sevilla duo Daniel Alves and Fredi Kanoute.
“I’d like to sign Alves and Kanoute,” Ramos is quoted as saying in the News of the World.
“These two players would be sensational for any club in the world but I’m not sure if Sevilla will accept it.”
Sevilla goalkeeper Andres Palop is also rumoured to be a target for Ramos and the keeper admits he would be tempted by the prospect of a move to Spurs.
“Tottenham is a very important club with a very impressive history,” Palop told The People.
“You never know in football, as we can see with what has happened with Juande.
“Every season is a new start.”
