Claudio Ranieri is in confident mood as Chelsea aim to overcome Arsenal in the second leg of their Champions League quarter-final clash.

Arsenal scored a valuable away goal in the first leg at Stamford Bridge as the sides drew 1-1, but Ranieri is confident his players can rise to the occasion in tomorrow night’s second leg.

“I believe in my players,’ said Ranieri.

“It will be a difficult match for us but everything is good. We will try to do our best performance.

“We have played five matches away and every time we have scored without conceding a goal. This is good for us.

“They are good numbers and we believe in these numbers.

“We know Arsenal is a strong team. We showed in the first leg at home that we are also strong but they have a lot of things for their side.

“They are strong, have a lot of experience, are in a good moment and have been working hard in the Champions League direction since four or five years ago.

“For them it was a good achievement this quarter-final because it is the second time.

“Also for us it is the second time, that is good. They are the favourites, I said this before the first leg and I repeat this now.”
