Real Madrid appear to have given up hope of signing Milan playmaker Kaka.

Real preisdent Ramon Calderon vowed to bring Kaka to the club in his presidential campaign and the Brazilian international has been constantly linked with a move to Spain.

However, Sporting director Predrag Mijatovic has now admitted that Real have now abandoned plans to sign Kaka.

“(Real Madrid) can’t allow itself to waste too much time on something that is extremely difficult to obtain,” Mijatovic told Marca.

“We’ve spoken a lot about this player over the past year and a half.

“Everybody likes him, but we know his situation and where he is playing, we’ll move on to something else.”
