Real Madrid have issued an official statement to say Ronaldo is not for sale.

“The club would like to make it absolutely clear that neither the president nor anyone else responsible at the club would study any kind offer for the best striker in the world,” read the statement on the club’s website.

Real acted after Marca published a story which said the club would listen to offers for the Brazilian in the region of €60m. The report claimed that beaten Champions League finalists Milan were interested.

The 28-year-old is Real’s leading scorer this season with 20 goals, but he has been criticised by supporters for his attitude this season.
