Cristiano Ronaldo bagged 31 goals last season to win the Premier League golden boot. Can anyone stop him this time around?

Real Madrid coach Berndt Schuster wants to sign Cameroonian international striker Samuel Eto’o from rivals Barcelona, according to Mundo Deportivo.

The 27-year-old has been deemed surplus to requirements by Barcelona’s new coach Pep Guardiola and has spent the summer considering various offers.

Mundo Deportivo claimed in the report that Schuster and feels Eto’o would be the ideal signing because of his “enormous” talent.

But the report added that Real Madrid president Ramon Calderon was concerned about a fans’ backlash because Eto’o was caught on tape chanting an offensive chant directed at the club when Barcelona won the Spanish league three years ago.

Eto’o, a three-times African Player of the Year, was quoted earlier this week by an Italian newspaper as saying he had offers from Chelsea, Tottenham and Inter.
