Nuri Sahin’s transfer to Real Madrid from Borussia Dortmund has been confirmed by both clubs.

The German champions were unable to prevent Sahin from leaving as he had a clause in his contract allowing him to leave for a set fee of less than £6million.

Sahin, 22, has been handed a six-year contract by Madrid, and will officially move join the club on 1st July.

The Turkish international, who came through the youth system at Dortmund, admitted it was a huge decision for him to make.

“The decision was hard to take. I am Borussia and will remain Borussia. I will miss Dortmund,” he confirmed at a press conference.
