Manchester City have invited Michael Reiziger to take a look at the club’s facilities before deciding whether to move to Maine Road on loan until the end of the season.

Reiziger has fallen out of favour at Barcelona and will take up the club’s offer before deciding whether to move to England.

“Michael will come in on Thursday and spend the day here,” Keegan told the club’s website.

“He will have a look at the facilities and will then have to decide if he wants to come here on a loan deal which would be until the end of the season.

“He is a great player who has a terrific footballing CV but at the moment it is too soon to talk of him being a City playeror being included in the squad for the clash with Leeds.”

The club have also opened talks with Celta Vigo striker Beni McCarthy. Keegan wants to take the South African on loan but Celta are looking for a downpayment of £600,000.
