Real Madrid’s Spanish international Jose Antonio Reyes has admitted that club is in a state of disorientation.

“The team is disorientated because one day I’m playing on the right and on the other I’m playing on the left,” Reyes told Radio Marca, in the wake of Real’s 3-2 win over Bayern Munich on Tuesday.

“But it’s not just me. Robinho, Raul and Guti are playing in various positions, but we are professionals and we have to accept this,” he added.

“Personally, I prefer to be on the left wing because that’s where I am the most comfortable.

Reyes, who is on a season-long loan deal from Arsenal, admitted that he appears to have fallen out of favour with coach Fabio Capello.

“I was warming up for 45 minutes against Bayern and Capello didn’t find it convenient to put me on. In other previous games, I haven’t played as many minutes as I would have liked.

“I’m irritated because the game against Bayern was one I didn’t want to lose out on. I don’t have to pass an exam, all I’m thinking about is playing.

“He’s given me freedom. I have to defend him for that,” added Reyes. “But I’m not getting many chances.”
