Jose Antonio Reyes is still hopeful of completing a permanent move to Real Madrid.

The Spanish midfielder spent last season on loan at The Bernabeu from Arsenal and is eager to join La Liga champions.

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has admitted Reyes is likely to leave The Gunners with the player never reallly settling in England.

“I have made it clear to Wenger that I want to continue wearing the Real Madrid shirt,” he told AS.

“I know what is happening through my representatives, now all that is left is to just hope.”
