Brazilian striker Rivaldo, who walked out on Olympiakos after being substituted last weekend, has said he will wait until the end of the season before deciding whether he has a future at the club.

“When the championship finishes, I’ll think about my future,” the 32-year-old World Cup winner told the Greek daily newspaper Kathimerini.

“I’ll stay until the summer to win titles and then we’ll see.”

Rivaldo, who signed a two-year contract with the club last July, was annoyed by coach Dusan Bajevic’s decision to substitute him at halftime during Sunday’s match against Aris Salonika.

He left the stadium and did not turn up for training on Monday, although the club has denied reports of a disagreement with the coach.

“With regard to articles which spoke of a problem in the relations between our footballer Rivaldo and our team’s coach Dusan Bajevic, Olympiakos FC wants to clarify that no such issue exists,” said a statement issued by the club.

It added that Rivaldo’ missed training because of a family problem.
