Rivaldo is set to announce a decision on his future, according to the player’s agent.

The winger has been released by last season’s Champions League winners, Milan and it has been suggested that the much-traveled star could return to Brazil or move to the Premiership.

The Brazilian is now surplus to requirements at the San Siro and is being tracked by a number of clubs.

It is thought that he is considering options from Cruzeiro and Palmeiras in South America, while either Manchester United, Liverpool, Wolves and Bolton could also emerge as rivals for his signature.

Meanwhile, in Italy he has been awarded the un-prestigious accolade of being voted the worst player of the year in Serie A by Italian TV show “Rai2-Rai”.

The trophy (if there is one) is unlikely to sit next to the FIFA World Player of the Year Award that he won in 1999 and his World Cup winners medal.
