Roma have been charged with ‘insufficient organisation’ following crowd problems at their match against Chelsea.

Fireworks were set off in the Champions League game at the Stadio Olimpico on 4th November while there was also fighting between fans before the game kicked off.

A Uefa spokesman has confirmed the charge and the case will be heard by a control and disciplinary panel on 11th December.

The Stadio Olimpico has been selected to host this season’s Champions League final, and there has been speculation that Rome could be stripped of the showpiece event
