Ronaldinho’s brother and agent claims it is ’90 per cent’ likely that the Barcelona playmaker will join Milan this summer.

The Brazilian will be allowed to leave the Camp Nou and has been linked with a move to the Premier League, but it would appear he prefers a move to Italy.

Manchester City have confirmed an interest in signing the 28-year-old, while Ronaldinho has confirmed he would be keen to link up with former Brazil coach Luiz Felipe Scolari at Chelsea.

However, Milan have long been favourites to sign the playmaker, despite vice-president Adriano Galliani stating the club would not pay over the odds for Ronaldinho.

The player’s representative Roberto de Assis now appears to be confident that Ronaldinho will move to the San Siro this summer.

“It’s true, he is likely to go to Milan,” De Assis told Telelombardia.

“Everything is ready for the transfer. It is 90% and we are heading in this direction.”

Los Angeles Galaxy had also been linked with an offer to tempt Ronaldinho to Major League Soccer, but De Assis insists his brother will snub a move to the United States.

He added: “He will never play there. He will play a tournament in Houston for his sponsor, but a transfer to the USA is excluded.”
