Ronaldinho has admitted he would love to work under Luiz Felipe Scolari again.

Barcelona are ready to sell the Brazilian after a disappointing season and he has been linked with a move to the Premier League.

Chelsea, under new coach Scolari, are one of the few clubs who could not only afford to buy the player, but match his ambitions.

“I am a Barca player. I am only focused on training,” Ronaldinho said in an interview with the Brazilian TV Globo programme.

“With respect to where I am going to play, if I will stay or if I will go, all that is in the hands of my brother.

“It is marvellous that Felipao (Scolari) is interested in signing me because he is an excellent coach. I have a lot of respect for him because I have known him since I was very young and he was coach of Gremio.

“If the chance came up to work with him again then it would be very good. We have a history together in the game, we won the World Cup, and that is something I will never forget.”

Ronaldinho lifestyle came under scrutiny last season but he insists he has never compromised his fitness.

“My life has always been the same,” he said. “I have not changed since the first day that I arrived in Barcelona.

“My routine has always been like this, but football is a question of form. When the trophies do not come, people begin to invent a lot of things.

“I believe that the best period of my career is yet to come. I still dream about winning things with the Selecao and that motivates me to train even more. I am still too young to think I have done everything.

“I have not yet gone to Barcelona to speak to the club, therefore my thoughts have been focused solely on my recovery and playing again. When the time comes to speak to them we will sit down and solve everything.”
